Fees & Insurance

Clear, Transparent Payment Information

Flourish Christian Counseling is a fee-for-service practice. Payment arrangements are made prior to each session. Clients are required to keep a credit card on file, which is used for session fees, deductibles, copays or coinsurance, and applicable late-cancellation or no-show fees.

In-Network Insurance

We are in network with the following insurance providers. Claims are submitted on your behalf after each session. Based on the information provided by your insurance company, any applicable deductibles, copays, or coinsurance will be charged to the card on file.

Checking Your Benefits

We recommend contacting your insurance provider directly and asking the following questions:

  • Is Flourish Family Counseling, Inc. (NPI 1598382988) in my network?
  •  Is there a mental health carve-out, and is Flourish in that network?
  • Does my deductible apply to mental health services, and what is my annual deductible?
  • What is my copay or coinsurance for outpatient psychotherapy sessions?
  • Is the rate different for in-person versus telehealth sessions?

Out-of-Network Insurance

Even if we are not in network with your insurance, you may still have coverage through out-of-network benefits. We’re happy to help guide you through this process.

Get In Touch

Flourish is an approved out-of-network provider with:

  • Carelon
  • United Healthcare (Optum)

If you have a PPO plan, we can submit claims to your insurance company on your behalf. Claims will be processed according to your out-of-network benefits.

Checking Your Benefits

When contacting your insurance provider, ask:

  • Does my plan include out-of-network benefits for outpatient mental health services?
  • What is my out-of-network deductible for mental health care?
  • Once my deductible is met, what is my copay or coinsurance?
  • Are rates different for in-person versus telehealth sessions?

Private Pay & Other Insurance Plans

Typical sessions are 70-75 minutes in length. We use the 70-75 minute therapy session model because we have found this length of time to be most effective, and absolutely necessary for couples and families. We also offer a 45-55 minute individual or child therapy session for added convenience. Our sessions are available both in person and virtually.

Good Faith Estimate Notice

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers must give patients who do not have insurance, or who are not using insurance, an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You may request a Good Faith Estimate from your health care provider, and from any other provider you choose, before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you may dispute the bill. Be sure to save a copy or photo of your Good Faith Estimate.
