APPROACH
My approach to therapy combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with Person-Centered Therapy. I believe that feeling genuinely heard and understood is an important part of the therapeutic process, and I strive to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where you have the space to talk openly about whatever may be on your mind or weighing heavily on you.
I enjoy incorporating tools such as journaling, mindfulness, cognitive reframing and challenging, and bibliotherapy to help you gain greater insight into your thoughts and experiences, recognize patterns that may be contributing to distress, and discover new ways of responding to life’s challenges. At the same time, I recognize that each person comes to therapy with a unique story, so I tailor our work to your individual needs, goals, and pace.
My goal is not simply to offer strategies, but to walk alongside you as you process what you are experiencing, develop greater self-understanding, and work toward meaningful and lasting growth. When desired, I also welcome the opportunity to incorporate Christian faith, biblical principles, Scripture, and prayer into the therapeutic process, providing space to explore how faith can offer hope, encouragement, and direction as you move forward.
