BACKGROUND
Caitlyn Quindoy is a board-registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who is passionate about supporting individuals as they work toward emotional healing and personal growth. She earned her Master of Science degree in counseling psychology from California Baptist University.
Caitlyn completed her clinical training at Mt. San Jacinto College, where she served the college community by supporting students navigating the unique challenges of academic and personal life. In this setting, she worked with individuals experiencing concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, family challenges, and trauma. Through this experience, Caitlyn developed a strong appreciation for the complexities students and young adults face during seasons of transition.
Caitlyn has a deep passion for helping individuals better understand their mental health and improve their overall well-being. She believes meaningful change begins with increased insight, compassion for oneself, and the support of a caring therapeutic relationship.
APPROACH
My approach to therapy centers on creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their experiences openly and honestly. I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is foundational to the healing process and strive to foster this through empathy, collaboration, compassion, and a genuine desire to understand each client’s story.
Every client is unique and brings different needs, goals, and strengths into therapy. For this reason, I tailor my approach to best support each individual’s personal growth. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and I incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to strengthen coping skills and increase tolerance for life’s stressors.
When desired, I also offer the integration of biblical principles to support healing and growth. Therapy was designed to facilitate healing and restoration, and lasting change is strengthened through a biblical foundation. We are not meant to carry our burdens alone, and there is hope for peace, reconciliation, restoration, redemption, and healing. It would be my honor to walk alongside you on this journey.
