BACKGROUND

Ethan Menard is a board-registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. He earned his Master of Arts degree from Hope International University after completing his bachelor’s degree in psychology at Vanguard University.

Ethan has experience working with individuals, children, and families navigating a variety of concerns, including grief and loss, divorce, depression, anxiety, and family challenges. He has a particular passion for working with children and adolescents and has served in youth ministry leadership through his church. He also spent three years as a camp counselor with Royal Family KIDS Camp, serving children who had experienced abuse and neglect.

APPROACH

My therapeutic approach is warm, supportive, and collaborative, with an emphasis on building a safe therapeutic relationship where you can feel comfortable exploring the challenges you are facing. I draw primarily from attachment-based approaches and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while also incorporating developmentally appropriate play therapy when working with children. I tailor the therapeutic process to each client’s individual needs, experiences, and goals.

I believe therapy can provide a meaningful space to work through difficult experiences, develop healthier ways of coping, strengthen relationships, and take practical steps toward healing and growth. Seeking support can itself be an important first step, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside my clients as they navigate that process.

My Christian faith is an important part of how I understand hope, healing, and restoration. For clients who desire faith-based counseling, I am happy to incorporate biblical principles, Scripture, and prayer into our sessions while respecting each client’s individual needs and goals.
