I am happy to incorporate faith-based, Christian counseling into your therapy upon request. Christian counselors connect faith with psychological principles to enhance a person’s mental and emotional well-being. Christian counseling uses teachings from Scripture to help promote healthy coping mechanisms. In your first session, we will discuss whether you are comfortable with incorporating prayer, Scripture, and biblical principles into your psychotherapy sessions, and your preferences will be respected.
I speak Armenian and Farsi.

BACKGROUND
Juliet Wiseman is a board-certified national counselor with experience working directly with children, adolescents, adults, and those struggling with substance abuse and addictions. Juliet graduated with her Master of Arts in human services, concentration in marriage and family counseling, as well as her Master of Arts in professional counseling from Liberty University.
Juliet has received specialized training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to help create new neural pathways for those who have experienced trauma.
APPROACH
In addition to EMDR, my theoretical orientation includes person-centered and narrative therapies, as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I have vast experience working with clients throughout the lifespan in a variety of struggles, including, but not limited to, childhood trauma, emotional and physical abuse, and substance abuse.
Most of us find ourselves trying to get through life carrying trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, or heartbreak; believing that there will never be any relief, we must endure those heavy burdens as long as we live, and peace will never find us.
However, I am here to let you know that is not true. You can find freedom from your pain through therapy. Through therapy, one can learn how to manage complicated emotional scars and learn to acquire tools that are peace-fostering. My passion as a therapist is to create a safe space for my clients–to empower them so that they may find their inner strength and find relief from their suffering.
