“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the
rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be
burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.”

Isaiah 43:2

Reaching out for support takes so much strength, and I just want to say—I see you, and I’m really proud of you for being here. Whatever you’re carrying, you don’t have to carry it by yourself anymore. I believe your story matters, and I would be honored to walk with you through the healing, the mess, the growth, and everything in between.

BACKGROUND

As a military spouse, Mariah Mendoza has walked through seasons of uncertainty, disconnection, and resilience — experiences that now inform her compassionate and grounded therapeutic presence. She earned her Master of Science in counseling psychology from California Baptist University and has received training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). During her training, Mariah worked with college students on campus and brought warmth, empathy, and real-life understanding into each session.

Mariah has clinical experience using a variety of approaches, including EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy,  attachment-based therapy, mindfulness-based practices, narrative therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Her work centers on helping individuals  navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, shame, identity questions, and spiritual  wounds. While she has experience working with adults and college students, she is deeply passionate about expanding her work with couples, teens, children, and families.

APPROACH

I believe healing happens in honest, compassionate spaces—and that you don’t have to go through the hard parts of life alone.

My goal is to provide a safe, supportive place where you can bring your full self—your story, your questions, your pain, and your hope. I come alongside you with warmth, curiosity, and care, and I approach our work together as a partnership built on trust. Drawing from a variety of tools, I will meet you where you are and help you move toward where you want to be.

Whether you’re processing past trauma, feeling stuck in current patterns, wrestling with identity or faith, or just longing to feel more connected and whole, you are welcome here. My heart is to walk with you—not just toward relief, but toward restoration. Therapy isn’t just about coping. It’s about healing. It’s about reclaiming your voice, your peace, your strength. If you’re ready to begin that journey, I would be honored to walk with you.
