BACKGROUND
Monique Carroll is a board-registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master of Science degree in counseling psychology from California Baptist University. Before CBU, she earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Capella University.
During her therapy internship, Monique worked at CBU’s counseling center. Although her focus was helping students, she was able to build skills which she is eager to apply to her therapy with individuals and couples of all ages. These skills include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
APPROACH
My therapeutic approach not only involves CBT, DBT, and EMDR, but I also draw from additional modalities to best support each client’s unique needs. I work with couples, children, adolescents, and adults to strengthen relationships and foster emotional well-being. I help clients navigate challenges such as depression, anxiety, grief, and infertility, while promoting healing and personal growth. As a Christian therapist, I offer faith-based counseling when desired, providing a compassionate and supportive space where clients can explore their experiences, deepen self-understanding, and build healthier connections with themselves and others.
I am looking forward to working with you to help you reach your mental health goals and to empower lasting change through empathy, insight, and collaboration.
