Owner of Flourish Christian Counseling
Executive Clinical Director
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Certified Clinical Trauma Professional
CA, LMFT119289
TX, LMFT204889

I am a Christian Counselor and part of Focus on the Family’s Christian Counselor Network. I am happy to incorporate faith-based, Christian counseling into your therapy upon request. Christian counselors connect faith with psychological principles to enhance a person’s mental and emotional well-being. Christian counseling uses teachings from the Bible to help promote healthy coping mechanisms. In your first session, we will discuss whether you are comfortable with incorporating prayer, Scripture, and biblical principles into your psychotherapy sessions, and your preferences will be respected.

Treatment is individually tailored for each client in an environment in which the client can feel accepted and comfortable.   Research reveals that clients who trust & feel comfortable with their therapist report better results.  One of my favorite passages to encourage people is found in Isaiah 43:2-3a:

“When you pass through the waters I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers they will not sweep over you.  When you walk through the fire you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze for I am the Lord your, God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.”

I love these verses because there is no situation that is beyond hope.  God walks with us through our trials, and He lifts us up. He is faithful and also able to give us peace that passes all understanding. Trusting in God makes all the difference. He promises to never leave us nor forsake us.

If you place self-imposed expectations upon yourself because you feel your value is measured by standards imposed by others or by negative comments that you have internalized, I want to encourage you to STEP INTO YOUR WORTH and explore your identity in Christ. In therapy we can root out the lies and replace them with God’s truths about who He says you are.  He calls you wonderful and beloved, and He delights in you. If you are looking for support, I would love to connect with you!

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

Chrissy received her Bachelor of Arts from Westmont College in Santa Barbara in 1992 and then received her teaching credential from Westmont College in 1993. While an educator for 19 years, Chrissy sensed God’s calling on her life to be a conduit of God’s hope and encouragement by connecting with people’s hearts and listening to their concerns and struggles, with compassion and empathy. She then went on to achieve her Master of Science in counseling in 2002 from California State University, Fullerton.

As an intern during her master’s program, Chrissy worked with the Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center, providing individual and group therapy to the men in the program. She also worked with Casa Youth Shelter, providing individual and family therapy services to adolescents residing at the shelter to work toward reunification with their families. Through these experiences, she gained knowledge working with crisis intervention, high-risk behaviors, substance abuse, trauma, attachment issues, and other mental health concerns.

Next, she began her journey as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist at The Vine Counseling and Psychological Services. While working in the private practice setting, she gained experience with mood tracking and providing treatment for those diagnosed with bipolar disorder. She also provided treatment across the life span with children, adolescents, individuals, and couples. She is proficient in recognizing maladaptive coping patterns and helping clients replace them with distress tolerance techniques and healthy coping patterns to improve emotional regulation and mental health.

THERAPEUTIC APPROACH

My passion is working in partnership with my clients to encourage and support them as they face life bravely, while empowering them to flourish in hope, freedom, and growth. My clients leave our sessions with insight and tools to move beyond their troubling issues. I recognize how hard it can be to seek change and ask for help. I love supporting clients in this work!

Psychotherapy sessions are unique to the needs of the individual. I am an eclectic therapist and utilize the therapy that best meets the need of the individual and treatment goal. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and trained in EMDR therapy. Some of the more common therapies used include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), narrative therapy, and attachment therapy, to name a few. I am also a certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (ASDCS).

I have a heart for working with people through their grief. I specialize in grief therapy as well as walking alongside women with fertility issues.

“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.

Dr. Carla Santana, Ed.D.
Psychotherapy Supervisor

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, CA LMFT40144, UT LMFT12824381-3902

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

Dr. Santana is a CAMFT-certified clinical supervisor. She received her bachelor’s degree in social work from San Diego State University. Following her bachelor’s, she earned two master’s degrees: one in counseling psychology and the other in philosophy. She received her Doctorate of Education in counseling psychology from Argosy University. In August 2023, Dr. Santana also received a Doctorate of Philosophy in forensic psychology from Walden University. Her experience includes 26 years of marriage and family counseling; psychological services for adults, adolescents, and children; facilitator of court-ordered domestic violence classes for the Riverside County Probation Department; extensive work with populations who have experienced PTSD and trauma (such as veterans and first responders); and the general population.

THERAPEUTIC APPROACH

The experience I bring to supervising my associates incorporates the therapeutic approaches which I have successfully utilized for over two decades, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), polyvagal theory, existential theory, and solution-focused and schema therapies. My extensive experience working with depression, anxiety, PTSD, and trauma allows me to guide the associates to support them in recognizing and treating the deeply embedded life experiences you may have suffered. My approach is holistic, meaning I encourage treatment of the whole person and addressing all aspects of care, including factoring any existing medical conditions that may adversely affect your mental health. My belief, which I pass on to the associates, is that talk therapy, integrated with holistic practices, creates a healing environment that is safe, judgment free, and conducive to living your best life now.

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

Romans 12:2

I believe it is important for you to feel completely comfortable with the person you choose for therapy. If you do not feel safe to share and be transparent, it can hinder and limit your ability to address the issues bringing you to therapy. Finding your best therapy connection today can offer you the life you have dreamed of, free from the hurts of the past, and filled with the hope of the future.

Jennifer Page, M.S.
Telehealth Psychotherapist

Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, LPCC21316

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

Jennifer is an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor with experience working directly with children, teens, college students, and adults. After teaching high school for over 25 years, Jennifer graduated from Azusa Pacific University with her Master of Science in counseling psychology, specializing in children and adolescents/young adults.

Jennifer has received specialized training in child/adolescent development and interventions, trauma-focused therapies, grief-focused therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

Jennifer also has gained valuable experience working with women across the lifespan who are experiencing various life struggles and transitions such as grief, parenting dilemmas, and crisis. She is experienced in treating depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, abuse, grief and loss, and many types of relational struggles. She welcomes anyone rediscovering and reconstructing themselves after traumatic experiences or loss, whether through trauma, abuse, change, “church hurt,” family crises, or any other type of transition. Her experience also includes leading group therapy with foster/adoptive families, college students, and children who have experienced loss.

THERAPEUTIC APPROACH

Life can be hard! Sometimes we need someone to walk with us through the hard stuff. My job as a therapist is to partner with my clients in a holistic process of renewing the mind and reconnecting with the body. My therapeutic process is built on a solution-focused, strengths-based foundation, utilizing evidence-based therapies grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, play therapy, positive psychology, Gestalt Therapy, mindfulness, and many others.

My therapy room will provide a safe space for you to process your life experiences. I present with a relational, open, and non-judgmental style of therapy where my client’s voice, inherent value, and strengths will be recognized, encouraged, and developed.

One of life’s greatest gifts is our ability to use our minds.  But our minds can also be a constant source of struggle.  The process of recapturing your thoughts, by training your mind, body, and spirit to hold on to what is good and true, is what therapy is all about.  I would be honored to partner with you as we work to strengthen your mind, body, and spirit to bring about a life filled with peace. Therapy is about strengthening you. I will work with my clients to strengthen the inner self and help them to stand strong as we build coping skills and regulation techniques.

I can include Christian counseling at whatever level my clients are comfortable. My style of Christian counseling is built on the same psychological principles and foundations mentioned in my therapeutic approach, but views them through a Christian lens. If clients prefer this option, therapy sessions may include deeper discussions about God, incorporating Scripture, and prayer. All preferences will be respected.

Casey Buller, M.S.
Psychotherapist

Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, AMFT15128

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

Casey Buller is a board-registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master of Science degree in counseling psychology from California Baptist University. Before his master’s degree at CBU, Casey earned a bachelor’s degree in counseling psychology from William Jessup University in Sacramento.

As a therapist trainee, Casey worked at CBU’s counseling center with a general population of young-adult to middle-aged students in undergrad, graduate, and doctoral programs. During this time he gained experience working with a wide array of issues, including neurodivergence, anxiety, depression, trauma, and much more. Casey has experience with identity-building work through Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma recovery using EMDR, and exploring past experiences with psychodynamic therapy.

THERAPEUTIC APPROACH

My therapeutic approach involves a foundational process of building a strong clinical relationship with my clients based on trust, mutual respect, and deep compassion. Through this we can explore together the experiences, pains, and joys of an individual’s past to identify patterns in areas of growth. Simultaneously, I use DBT to help clients build the identity and skills they need to be their full and best selves.

It is my greatest joy to step into the sacred place of an individual’s heart and to learn and experience the incredible story God has given them. So many of us are faced with vast challenges in life and feel stuck or powerless in our current situations. Being a therapist means I get to make sure my clients do not have to walk alone through life’s challenges and can take steps toward the freedom they deserve.

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Erica Jacobson, M.S.
Telehealth Psychotherapist

Associate Professional Clinical Counselor, APCC16707

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

Erica Jacobson is a board-certified Associate Professional Clinical Counselor with experience working directly with children, adolescents, and those struggling with grief. Erica graduated from Azusa Pacific University with her Masters of Science in counseling psychology, with an emphasis in children and adolescents.

Erica has received specialized training in child/adolescent development and interventions, trauma-focused therapies, grief-focused therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Erica is also trained in the Gottman Method for couples therapy.

THERAPEUTIC APPROACH

My therapeutic approach is centered in CBT and solution-focused therapy (SFT). However, I believe that each client’s experiences and perspectives are unique to them, and, therefore, my therapy room provides a holistic, collaborative, and tailored approach to treatment. As a therapist, it is my responsibility to provide evidence-based techniques that are applicable for each client’s needs, comfortability, and background.

The root of my passion is to make a positive impact on my clients’ lives, whether big or small. It is a privilege to be welcomed into the mountains and valleys of one’s life. As a therapist, this is a privilege that I do not take for granted. Connection with others is one of the most vital parts of the human experience. As a mental health provider, it is an honor to get to know clients for who they are beyond their struggles. It is especially rewarding, then, when through therapeutic work, clients also begin to see themselves as more than their struggles. Trust, honesty, and transparency are what I believe to be the main ingredients for a successful therapeutic relationship and overall experience. I strive to maintain and foster these throughout my work.

My overall goal is to empower my clients in the hopes that it blooms a new sense of hope, confidence, and understanding with them. We are all the experts of our own lives, but sometimes it is necessary to lean on those around us when difficulties arise. That is exactly what therapy is for: a tool for clients to utilize when faced with overwhelming seasons of life.

Also, please know that upon your request, I would be pleased to incorporate faith-based, Christian counseling into your sessions.

“Come to Me, all of you who are weary and burdened, ad I will give you rest. All of you, take up My yoke and learn from Me, because I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for yourselves. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

Ethan Menard is a board-certified Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master of Art degree from Hope International University. Before HIU, he earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Vanguard University, where he also served in his church.

Ethan specializes in working with individuals and families. His previous experience includes working with the underserved population struggling with grief and loss, and issues surrounding divorce, depression, and anxiety.

Ethan has also served in leadership at his church, specifically in youth ministry, which is his passion. He was also a camp counselor for three years at Royal Family KIDS Camp, a camp for abused and neglected children.

THERAPEUTIC APPROACH

My therapeutic approach is centered around attachment and CBT, along with play therapy when working with children. I am also certified in EMDR. I want to create a safe space for you as I walk with you toward healing. I am passionate about helping you take the next step in your journey toward becoming whole. I view therapy as a tool that people can use if they need it, and by accepting the need for help, you have taken the first step toward healing. I have seen the impact of therapy and specifically the power of God’s Word incorporated into it, resulting in a true experience of freedom afterward. Upon request, I would be happy to incorporate prayer and the Bible in our sessions.

Gabriela Ortuno, M.S.W.
Psychotherapist

Associate Clinical Social Worker, ASW132600

 EDUCATION AND TRAINING

Gabriela Ortuno is a board-registered Associate Clinical Social Worker with a bachelor’s degree in social work from La Sierra University and a master’s degree in social work from California State University San Marcos. Gabriela’s clinical experience includes working with individuals navigating student life, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, trauma, and life transitions. She is also passionate about helping clients process their cultural experiences and explore how culture and race shape their identities and mental health.

In her therapeutic work, Gabriela draws from several evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing (MI). She integrates these approaches to meet each client where they are, tailoring therapy to their unique strengths and needs.

THERAPEUTIC APPROACH

I view therapy as a collaborative space for identifying and nurturing your natural strengths and experiences. I believe everyone already carries within them a foundation for healing, which may just need the support, guidance, and space to grow. Therapy provides the opportunity to practice and strengthen these abilities within an evidence-based framework, supported by a compassionate and understanding environment.

I am passionate about creating a safe, understanding, and inclusive space where each person feels seen and valued. I recognize that we all come with unique experiences, cultural backgrounds, and ways of understanding the world. Through the lens of cultural humility, I acknowledge how our environments and lived experiences shape the way we view ourselves, relate to others, and cope with life’s challenges. By honoring each client’s cultural identity and personal story, I support healing that feels authentic and sustainable.

I believe therapy is not about “fixing” you but about guiding you through a process of healing that will help you rediscover and build upon your own God-given strengths. This is your space, a place where you can explore, reflect, and grow. My goal is to walk alongside you as you learn how.

I have vast experience working with clients throughout the lifespan in a variety of struggles, including, but not limited to, childhood trauma, emotional and physical abuse, and substance abuse.

My goal is to provide a safe, supportive place where you can bring your full self—your story, your questions, your pain, and your hope. I come alongside you with warmth, curiosity, and care, and I approach our work together as a partnership built on trust. Drawing from a variety of tools, I will meet you where you are and help you move toward where you want to be.

Whether you’re processing past trauma, feeling stuck in current patterns, wrestling with identity or faith, or just longing to feel more connected and whole, you are welcome here. My heart is to walk with you—not just toward relief, but toward restoration. Therapy isn’t just about coping. It’s about healing. It’s about reclaiming your voice, your peace, your strength. If you’re ready to begin that journey, I would be honored to walk with you.

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the
rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be

Whatever you’re carrying, you don’t have to carry it by yourself anymore. I believe your story matters, and I would be honored to walk with you through the healing, the mess, the growth, and everything in between.

Since graduating from Pepperdine University with her master’s degree in clinical psychology, she has specialized in working with clients who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges.

Paola has also gained experience and training working with a wide variety of groups of people, including BIPOC communities, Spanish-speaking clients, immigrants, veterans, and survivors of trauma.

THERAPEUTIC APPROACH

My counseling approach is rooted in restoration therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, and trauma-informed care. I encourage my clients to work on empowerment, safety, and collaboration. I am committed to helping my clients build insight, uncover past inner scripts, work on generational traumas, develop healthy coping skills, and create meaningful change at a personal pace that feels safe and manageable to each of them.

I strive to create a warm, inclusive, and non-judgmental environment where clients from all backgrounds feel heard and supported. I am experienced and trained in incorporating faith-based practices in therapy sessions, upon your request. My goal is to help you grow as a whole person, working on three elements: mind, body, and spirit.

“Now may the god of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Telehealth Psychotherapist

Associate Professional Clinical Counselor, APCC20143

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

RaeAnna Sang is a California board-certified Associate Professional Clinical Counselor with a Master of Science in clinical counseling from Liberty University. Prior to counseling, RaeAnna earned a Bachelor of Science in business finance. RaeAnna specializes in crisis care, trauma-informed care, grief therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Adlerian Therapy.

RaeAnna’s clinical background in community mental health has equipped her with experience working with a broad spectrum of mental health diagnoses, including Bipolar (I and II), ADHD, Major Depressive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, and other personality disorders. RaeAnna also has experience working with psychiatrists and nurses to develop appropriate treatment plans based on individual needs.

THERAPEUTIC APPROACH

My commitment to client care centers on holistic development–addressing not only mental and emotional health, but also the physical and spiritual dimensions that contribute to overall well-being. Each individual’s story is unique, and true healing stems from examining the whole person. My therapeutic approach focuses on helping individuals renew their minds and develop new insights. While circumstances may not change immediately, the way we interpret the world profoundly shapes our experiences. Through the use of evidence-based interventions, I will help you expand your mental toolbox and cultivate a deeper understanding of self. Together, we can unlock the potential of what I consider the most powerful organ in the body: the brain. In this way, you will be able to live a meaningful, resilient, and purpose-driven life.

For those who are interested, I warmly offer the opportunity to incorporate Scripture reading, thoughtful theological reflection, and prayer into our sessions. Scripture reveals that understanding of self begins with knowing our Creator. As St. Augustine beautifully expressed, “You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our hearts are restless until they rest in you.” Together, I would love to explore how God’s character deeply shapes our true worth, helping you discover a renewed sense of value and purpose.

“But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”

Terri Kammerzell
Office Administrator

Terri leads our administrative team: screening and scheduling new patients, verifying insurance eligibility, submitting claims and billing copays, supporting our providers, and more. Terri has developed many skills over the years by working as an executive assistant to small business owners, as a clerk in both small and big retail stores, and as a tutor/small class teacher for homeschool students. The experiences she has had provide her with the skills to communicate and help keep us organized.

ADMINISTRATIVE APPROACH

What a blessing it is to me to bless other people! I’ve made that statement many times over the past thirteen years of serving in ministry with homeschool families, and every time I’ve said it, I’ve meant it. I bring that same mindset to this job as well, and I look forward to helping you navigate through the sometimes frustrating obstacles of insurance and billing protocols.

My team and I are ready to help you. Before reaching out, be sure to visit our Fees & Insurance page for some tips to make sure you know what to expect for your share of cost. If you still have questions about your insurance or your invoices, you can reach out to us:
